Prolific and renowned translator of Irish literature Hans-Christian Oeser has been awarded the Heinrich Maria Ledig-Rowohlt Prize for his contribution to translations into German from the English language, and notably of Irish writers such as Anne Enright, Hugo Hamilton, Dermot Healy and Maeve Brennan. The prize, worth €15,000, is awarded annually by the Heinrich Maria Ledig-Rowohlt Foundation. Many congratulations to Mr Oeser from all at ILE.
